[Rock Hill, SC – March 22, 2013] – Governor Nikki Haley has appointed Rock Hill attorney Christi Porter Cox to the South Carolina Board of Accountancy. Ms. Cox is a native of South Carolina and is a founding member of the law firm of Hamilton Martens, LLC located in downtown Rock Hill, South Carolina.
An agency within the State Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, the Board of Accountancy administers and enforces the rules and regulations governing the practice of accounting in South Carolina. The board consists of nine members, each of whom is appointed by the Governor to serve a four year term. Holly Gillespie Pisarik, the Director of LLR, commented that she is confident Cox “will bring a passion and work ethic that will serve the Board and the State of South Carolina well.”
